Ogier opens Dubai office

Legal and professional services firm Ogier has opened a Dubai office in order to fully service Middle East-based clients. Transactional services in the region cover banking and finance, including Islamic finance and fund finance, corporate funds advice and investment funds advice. Ogier’s regulatory consulting division will help investment advisors and fund managers to gain financial services permissions from local regulators in the region, along with handling the overall authorisation process. Ogier Global, the corporate services provider arm of the firm, will work with partner-led legal teams to incorporate and administer a range of vehicles for clients, who have real-time access to statutory information and are able to interact with their entities’ administration. Edward Mackereth, managing partner at Ogier, says: "This is a significant milestone which means we can expand and build on our existing expertise in the region to now offer on-the-ground advice and services to clients in the Middle East. Central to our global offering is accessibility for clients and intermediaries to our specialist teams in their time zone.”
